NEVADA DAY OBSERVANCE

In observance of Nevada Day, there will be no school for students on Friday, October 31, 2025.
This state holiday is observed on the last Friday in October, and commemorates our state’s admission to the Union on October 31, 1864.
Originally celebrated on October 31, the Nevada Legislature shifted the official observance to the last Friday in October in 2000 to create a three-day weekend.
